A Secure and Comfortable Solution
With All-on-4® we can create a permanently secured prosthesis of teeth that fit right on top of a set of dental implants to provide a security and comfort. All-on-4 dental implants are similar to dentures, but because they are supported by implants, they are secured in place without any looseness or slipping, and do not require adhesives. Additionally, the dental implants provide oral health benefits by stimulating your jaw bone to prevent deterioration. Depending on your choice for full arch restoration, the denture appliance can be removed for regular cleaning to improve your oral health. For those who do not want removable teeth, fixed All-on-4 dental implants are another option for patients with missing teeth.
How All-on-4® dental implants work
Fixed All-on-4 Dental Implants
Fixed All-on-4 dental implants are most similar to natural teeth. They offer a natural and aesthetic look, while be permanently attached to your jaw. Only your dentist will be able to remove the teeth and you won’t have to worry about them falling out when you speak or eat. Your teeth will be screwed into the dental implants placed in your jaw and will not feel loose or slip.
Ball Retained Dentures
These are designed with a ball-and-socket mechanism, where the base of the denture has several sockets that line up with balls attached to dental implants. Since the dental implants are fused into the jaw bone, the foundation provides a very secure fit. This allows for an open palate denture, making the dentures less likely to slip or move. Patients find it much easier to eat and speak clearly with these types of dentures.
Bar Retained Dentures
These types of dentures require placing three or more dental implants into the jaw bone. A set of metal bars are placed along the gum line between the implants. The dentures then sit on top of the bars. These types of dentures can be an attractive alternative to traditional dentures that often have complications such as looseness or discomfort.
